To map a network drive:
- right click on the My Computer icon on your desktop (or in the explorer
window, choose the Tools pull down menu),
- then click on "Map Network Drive", this will open a window with two (2) pull down menu
fields, and a checkbox field.
- the first pull down menu field identifies what drive letter you will map to, you can change
it to any letter that is available, or just choose the next available.
- the second pull down menu field identifies what you map to on the server. If you previously
mapped to drives you are no longer mapped to, you can select them in the pull down menu. You can
also type in the drive you want to map to, useing the following format:
\\ktcweb1\drivename
where drivename is the drive you want to map to (home is your home directory, based on what user name
you login to the initial windows login on your PC).
- The checkbox field identifies if the network drive should be mapped again when you restart
your computer, if you check the box, it will map again when you restart.
